Help Protect Florida's Marine Resources, Become a Reef Ranger! The state of Florida’s Lionfish Outreach and Control Program began in 2014 as a way to educate the public about the negative effects of invasive lionfish and encourage the removal of the invader from the waters surrounding Florida. Reef Rangers was born from this program in order to more closely interact with the public and encourage involvement in lionfish removal and outreach efforts. Anyone can become a Reef Ranger by participating in one of our many programs or by educating someone you know about the lionfish invasion.
